Menai Boat Run – Sunday 14th March 2027

Who’s ready to blow away the cobwebs and get back on the water? The Menai Boat Run is the perfect way to kick off the season — and we’ve got room for 7 in total on this one.

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to log some helm time, this is it. Get your name down.

The Event

This is a well-established annual BSAC event, and it’s a good one. Around 25 boats from 17 branches will be out on the water together on the Menai Strait. Each boat contributes £60 to the RNLI station at Beaumaris, so you’ll be doing your bit for a worthy cause while having a great day out. Note: this is a boat run only — no diving.

Cost

• £10 per person into club funds
• Your share of towing and RIB fuel costs
• The £60 RNLI donation is split across the boat crew

Travel, food and accommodation are not included.

What to Bring

• Drysuit (non-negotiable)
• Coat, hood & gloves — it’s March on the Menai
• Lifejacket or floatation device
• Food & drink packed in a dry bag
