DESCRIPTION:Hi All. \nThe weather for the up coming rib dives is still very bad.With winds pushing Force 7\,8 and 9.So \,I’m cancelling that trip….However\,I am putting on the above\,Stoney Cove.Ive not been for a while and thought it would be good to re visit. \nDetails as follows…it has a max depth of 35M\, and I have been asked to do some depth progression.There are lots of things to dive there\,it’s a great place. \nTo go\, you MUST log onto Stoney cove site and create a diver log account.Then that will let you book a date that you want to dive.Cost is £27 or there is a scheme by paying a 2 year membership \,then it is £20..Travel time is approx 2 hrs.We will need to see who books on before confirming who is doing what.The dive attractions are great\,along with facilities there.I can recommend diving the bus and the Stangarth.You will see\, these are listed at 22M\,infact they all stand proud of the floor\, so infact shallower.. \nIf you’d like to go\, create your diver log account at Stoney\,BUT DO NOT PAY ….YET……Then book onto our club event…..we will discuss or sort out who is going then before paying on….( I just want to make sure there is enough qualification/ experienced divers there).Suitable for sport diver onwards…NB…As I say only with sufficient experienced diver/ buddies

DESCRIPTION:As mentioned for the day before\, great Neaps.tides… I’m hoping to dive another of our favourite wrecks on the Sunday 8th October.The Cartagena\, another stunning wreck\, that stands upright and intact on the seabed at a depth of 37m.Top of wreck is around 27m\, so again Experienced Sport diver level.Beautiful wreck\, covered in life.Costs\, £10 boat club fees\, plus share of fuel and launch fees if required. \nFull upto date branch membership\, unto date BSAC membership and filed Medical. \n  \n(inset pic me\, Hanging off the side and a view of the prop) Beautiful.

DESCRIPTION:This looks to be just about the best NEAPS tide of the year…I’ve booked the RIB for Sat 7th and Sun 8th October. 2 events. As the tides are great I’m hoping to do our favourite wrecks. Saturday 7th will be The Kincorth. It’s an old fishing trawler….covered in life depth 25m to 30m to seabed. Broken up\, but still good structure and beautiful.Experienced Sport Divers level. DESCRIPTION:A stunning seaside town on the Clyde coast\nDiving Trip to Largs\, Scotland.\nType of Diving: RHIB and Shore Diving\nVenue: Largs Marina\, Irvine Rd\, Largs KA30 8EZ. (Boat will be moored at the marina – no need to keep recovering and relaunching)\nWhen: 24th August till 29th Aug (The RHIB is booked out – but the stay can be extended if you file a further RHIB application and have qualifications / DO Approval)\nAccommodation: whilst it’s a bank holiday in England\, it is not a bank holiday is Scotland. there are plenty of places to stay in Largs or Cumbrae. although if your staying on Cumbrae the ferry stops running around 9pm (I RECALL) \nLive webcam views of marina: https://www.yachthavens.com/largs-yacht-haven/at-the-marina/webcams \nDiving Qualifications: Discovery diver upwards.\nOther requirements: Current Filed Medical\, Current BSAC membership and Current Branch Membership.\nOther opportunities: Boat handling\, Snorkelling\, Paddle boarding\, Kayaking\, Wild swimming.\nAir fills:  Little logistics – we normally send one or two vehicles a few miles down the road and get a group of cylinders filled. (£10.00 per fill last year)\nthey has the market as no one else offers this service.\nCost: Boat Users the branch fee is £10.00 per day plus a share of the fuel. The marina charges £3.60 /m overnight. the cost of the logistics getting the boat to and from Largs will be shared between boat users. \nThis event has no dedicated Diver training but qualification dives / experience still applies. \nVoluteers: Anyone want to tow the boat please speak to Michelle \nAccommodation: Whilst England has a bank holiday\, Scotland does not. therefore plenty of accomodation is available in Largs and Cumbrae. Be mindful – if you stay on Cumbrae the ferry stops running around 9pm.. \nOnce we are at Largs we can also explore the Isle of Cumbrae –  why not take the 15 minute ferry to the Isle of Cumbrae. The pretty island is a great place plus it’s home to the Crocodile Rock and the ‘Cathedral of the Isles’; the smallest cathedral in Scotland. We have previously dived one of the Piers in Cumbrae which boast plenty of marine life. \n  \n \nThe Isle of Cumbrae\, also known as Great Cumbrae\, lies on the Ayrshire coast and is roughly four miles long and two miles wide. Just a short ferry trip from Largs\, Cumbrae is regarded as Scotland’s most accessible island.\n \n \nSeaside town\nThe only settlement is Millport\, a seaside town with a Victorian promenade which curves around an attractive hilly bay on the south coast. Millport is home to Britain’s smallest cathedral\, the Cathedral of the Isles\, which was completed in 1851 to a design by William Butterfield\, one of the leading Gothic revival architects of the day. \nDirections By Land\n\nLargs Yacht Haven\, Irvine Road\, Largs\, Ayrshire\, KA30 8EZ \nw3w: ///appear.vowel.dodges \nLargs is well connected by road\, rail and air links. DESCRIPTION:Looks like there “may” be a let up in the wind n rain over the next weekend….I’m going to attempt to get the rib out.This may turn out to just be a day out on the rib and boat handling.IF….weather looks good\, we can make it an ocean diver and above level dive.( I need to add\, the wind will have stirred up the viz….so will make decision on diving on the Friday) Its a chance to get out\,drive the rib\,see some awsome places….Again\, final decision will be made on the Fri before.

DESCRIPTION:Chris Llewellyn will be diving out of Eyemouth & St Abbs on  24th & 25th June 2023 with skipper Derek Anderson of  www.aquamarine-charters.com \nDerek Anderson has been working on boats since he was 26. Starting his working life onboard trawlers\, he is the owner/skipper of Aquamarine Charters. Eyemouth Harbour\, TD14 5SD. \n2 dives on the afternoon of Saturday the 24th & 2 on the morning of Sunday 25th June. \nThis weekend is open to Ocean divers and above and will cost £60/person/day. \nA non-refundable deposit of £60 as soon as possible will secure your place\, but if\, for any reason\, after paying your deposit\, you cannot eventually go\, then it is your responsibility to find a suitably qualified replacement who can take your place otherwise you will be liable for the total cost of diving off the boat. However\, the balance of payment will need to be paid no later than 24th May 2023. \nYou must take 2 cylinders with you and sort your Travel & accommodation arrangements. \nRefills will cost £6 per fill and will be collected from the boat\, filled\, and dropped back off\, so for this reason you must make sure your cylinders are marked with your name. \nAmple free parking is available nearby in Eyemouth and a fully serviced pontoon means getting you and your kit to and from the boat is easy. \nDouble dive lift\, big kitting-up benches\, toilet\, wheelhouse seating\, tea and coffee\, and if you are lucky home baked cake or scones. \nThe boat has all the standard safety equipment including an O2 kit. \nThis is a good opportunity to gain some more sea experience. \nIf you are interested\, please book on via the branch website event & let Chris know via WhatsApp.

DESCRIPTION:Hi All\,…the 7th April( good friday) sees the return of the Easter egg hunt.This is a fantastic event\,loads of games\, for one and all\,friends \,family\, divers and non divers…We have hot food and all sorts to eat\, all within the Sub C gazebo.Great chance to kick start your diving season\, the water just about starting to warm up then…(honest…😇). Costs are £6 adult and £3 children Genuinely a great day. \nStella is main organiser….but she will need lots of help.Some amazing prizes last year\,and a brilliant marking system.Book on\,and also ask Stella how you can help in the run up.

(food will be published is due course.) \n\nRooms are available from 2pm on the Saturday\, will include Breakfast and use of all leisure facilities within the Hotel. cost per room is £70.00 for s single and £80.00 for a double. You must reserve a room direct with Hotel. DESCRIPTION:Location: Capernwray Dive Centre. (Jackdaw Quarry) \nRequirements: \nYou will need to have completed a Medical form and handed it to our Branch Diving Officer. If you have not filed a medical it may result in your instructor not allowing you to dive on the day. \nYou will need Current BSAC membership. \nIf you are not already a member you will need to join Capernwray dive centre. The fee is now £30 fee for a 2-year membership\, you will need to register online and choose the 2-year diving option\, beyond this Capernwray will charge £15.00 each time you visit\, this fee pays for parking\, and the use of facilities (W.C\, showers\, cafe facilities\, and use of the actual quarry). you can bring a packed lunch and drinks. Air fills are also available for £5.00 per fill. \nYou will need your regular SCUBA gear and if you do not own a DRY SUIT\, you will either need to purchase or borrow one or you can hire them from either Capernwray Dive Centre or Bolton Area Divers. DESCRIPTION:Menai Suspension Bridge Anglesey North Wales Uk\nOn 18th March\,We are looking to Circumnavigate the whole Island of Anglesey.There are hopefully a few ribs taking part.At the minute the spaces are on the club rib\, also Wilts rib.We will split people into equal numbers so that is all shared equally.Costs are per person for fuel plus any launch  and recovery costs.You will need\,Drysuit/ wetsuit\,buoyancy aid\,hat gloves\,food\, drink …It is a stunning area.We will stop off for some toilet and picnic breaks in some beautiful  areas.Dave has planned the route.Some is tricky\, but will be great experience.You don’t need to be a boat handler.Open to one and all.As ever\, subject to weather…
