DESCRIPTION:So here’s a little plan….or 2…!!\n\n\nRight …Puffin Island is the little island near the top of the Menai Straits…..the one you look at on your way to Anglesey n say….that looks a mint place to dive.\n\n\nWell here’s a chance….the above dates are neap tides\, and Amelia has requested to dive Puffin Island….so them dates are good….So\, here’s the conundrum…I’m offering both sat n Sunday out depending on numbers…Here’s why\, and my thoughts….\n\n\n\nThe rib will need to collected from storage very early sat\, or I may even go down the night before and get it….We will be launching from ABC Marine which we used earlier this year for some deeper dives….they have good facilities\, changing rooms\, shower\, shop etc….launch/ recovery is by tractor…cost around £35/40.(split with fuel between everyone on board)…\n\n\nBoat fee £10.00 per person per day\nFuel for the day split between divers.\n\novernight storage / Launch / recover fees split by the divers\nDiver coxwain contributes / Dedicated coxwain no charge.\n\nSo\, I’m thinking….we get the boat\, we dive one crew on the sat\, pit it in boat yard storage\, and a second crew\, if enough people interested can go out Sunday……it can then go back to our storage place.\n\nLevel Wise….MUST be qualified and confident Ocean Diver.\n\nI will manage qualifications\, and buddy pairs etc. Although it is called Puffin Island\, its full of seals…. .I will create 2 x events on website\, one for saturday and one for Sunday….if your interested\, book on the relevant one….I need to plan coxwain/ boat handlers etc.im also suggesting 6 divers max per trip or 1 x dedicated ( non diving cox) and 6 ..\nMore details to follow…..

DESCRIPTION:Night dive @ Capernwray Dive centre on 3rd November 2021. \nThe annual Capernwray night dive- usually starts off around 2 pm where divers can dive during the day then once the night sky draws in do a similar dive in the dark.\nNewly qualified divers will explore a different dive experience. (Remember Torch & spare torch will be required) \nThese annual events are normally collaborated with other branch members doing various qualifications such as Dive management\, which can really only be carried out with bigger groups. So please help support these students by way of attending and diving. \nMinimum Qualification level- Ocean diver.\nNo Trainees – Unless prior arrangement has been made for the day diving only. (However\, you can Snorkel / Swim if you can brave the temperature. Please advise the Dive manager if you decide to participate in Swimming / Snorkelling) \nNo branch meeting/training schedule will be held at HBSC on this day. \nDive Manager will be Stella Evison\, Assistant Dive Manager is Matthew Williamson  \nPlease Report to the Dive Manager upon arrival. \nLifetime membership: £25.00\nEntry fee: £15.00 per Diver.\nSpectators – Free \nThe evening often ends with a firework display – We encourage trainees / New divers to attend\, that way you get to experience the open water environment at a Quarry Divesite. \nDive brief times to follow. \n  \n

No filed medical may result in your instructor not allowing you to dive on the day.\nCurrent BSAC membership\nCurrent SUB C Membership fees up to date\nYou will need to join Capernwray dive centre\, We believe its £29.00 one off fee life time membership\, and £15.00 each time you visit Capernwray which pays for parking\, use of facilities (W.C\, showers and use of the actual quarry) These can be purchased online.\nYou will need your regular SCUBA gear and if you do not own a DRY SUIT you will either need to purchase one\, or you can hire one from Capernwray Dive Centre. DESCRIPTION:Hi All\, we are looking at a rib dive day on Sunday 12th September.The level will be Ocean diver and above \, so EVERYONE welcome.The request is via Amelia.As always\, weather will dictate on the day as to what and even IF we can dive.I should be down at my caravan from Friday eve\, so should be able to make a call on the saturday.we have space for 6 on the rib.Also\, we must have sufficient boat handlers and experienced divers to help with any new ocean divers that may be interested.
