DESCRIPTION:We are organising a Sports Diver open water training session at the Capernwray Dive Centre\, also known as Jackdaw Quarry. \nTo participate\, you must have completed a medical form and submitted it to our Branch Diving Officer before the event. If you fail to submit the form\, your instructor will not allow you to dive on the day. \nYou are required to have a current BSAC membership to take part in the training session. Additionally\, you must also join the Capernwray dive centre by registering online and choosing the 2-year diving option. This requires a fee of £30 for membership\, which will cover the cost of parking and the use of facilities such as W.C.\, showers\, and café facilities. Capernwray will charge you £16.00 each time you visit beyond this fee. Air fills are also available for £5.00 per fill. \nPlease bring your Cylinder & BCD SCUBA gear\, and if you do not own a dry suit\, you will either need to purchase or borrow one. Alternatively\, you can hire from either Capernwray Dive Centre or Bolton Area Divers. You may also need to consider borrowing/hiring a hood\, some gloves and sea fins. We suggest you speak to members of the club or the Equipment Officer to make arrangements to hire your drysuit. DESCRIPTION:What’s happening: Menai Straits Dive.\nWhen: Tuesday 13th August.\nwhere: From Pig island  (the Anglesey side of the suspension bridge) moving right ( towards Britania Bridge)\nMax depth: will be 14 meters but all the life is at 6-8 meters.\nBriefing time: will be 10.00AM prompt ( Time and tide wait for no man) on the grass area under the bridge.\nQualifications: This dive is for qualified sports divers or above (Due to tidal currents and no boat cover).\n\nDon’t worry if you are not a sports diver as I will be hoping to put this dive on again on a weekend in September with boat cover ( so will be safer if things don’t quite go to plan)

DESCRIPTION:  \nWe are holding an Ocean Diver open water training session. \nLocation: Capernwray Dive Centre. (Jackdaw Quarry) \nRequirements: \nYou will need to have completed a Medical form and handed it to our Branch Diving Officer. If you have not filed a medical it will result in your instructor not allowing you to dive on the day. \nYou will need a Current BSAC membership. \nYou will also need to join the Capernwray dive centre. There is now a fee of £30 fee for a 2-year membership\, you will need to register online and choose the 2-year diving option\, In addition to this\, Capernwray will charge £16.00 each time you visit\, (Prepay coming soon) this fee can be paid cask at the gate and pays for parking\, and the use of facilities (W.C\, showers\, café facilities\, and use of the actual quarry). you can bring a packed lunch and drinks. Air fills are also available for £5.00 per fill. \nYou will need your regular SCUBA gear and if you do not own a DRY SUIT\, you will either need to purchase or borrow one or you can hire them from either Capernwray Dive Centre or Bolton Area Divers.
