DESCRIPTION:The tides look great for the 2nd sept .Im looking to put a trip on to an awsome wreck.The Cartagena.I try and do this once a year.It stands upright in 37M to seabed.Top of wreck around 25m\, almost intact and covered in life.Strictly confident and diving regularly Sport Divers.Id suggest a pony….but not mandatory…Quite an exposed site\, weather dependant.One of the best dives ive done.Still has anchors and propeller on.Max people is 6.If we fill the 6 i ” may ” ask for a dedicated coxwain.

DESCRIPTION:A stunning seaside town on the Clyde coast\nDiving Trip to Largs\, Scotland.\nType of Diving: RHIB and Shore Diving\nVenue: Largs Marina\, Irvine Rd\, Largs KA30 8EZ. (Boat will be moored at the marina – no need to keep recovering and relaunching)\nWhen: 24th August till 29th Aug (The RHIB is booked out – but the stay can be extended if you file a further RHIB application and have qualifications / DO Approval)\nAccommodation: whilst it’s a bank holiday in England\, it is not a bank holiday is Scotland. there are plenty of places to stay in Largs or Cumbrae. although if your staying on Cumbrae the ferry stops running around 9pm (I RECALL) \nLive webcam views of marina: https://www.yachthavens.com/largs-yacht-haven/at-the-marina/webcams \nDiving Qualifications: Discovery diver upwards.\nOther requirements: Current Filed Medical\, Current BSAC membership and Current Branch Membership.\nOther opportunities: Boat handling\, Snorkelling\, Paddle boarding\, Kayaking\, Wild swimming.\nAir fills:  Little logistics – we normally send one or two vehicles a few miles down the road and get a group of cylinders filled. (£10.00 per fill last year)\nthey has the market as no one else offers this service.\nCost: Boat Users the branch fee is £10.00 per day plus a share of the fuel. The marina charges £3.60 /m overnight. the cost of the logistics getting the boat to and from Largs will be shared between boat users. \nThis event has no dedicated Diver training but qualification dives / experience still applies. \nVoluteers: Anyone want to tow the boat please speak to Michelle \nAccommodation: Whilst England has a bank holiday\, Scotland does not. therefore plenty of accomodation is available in Largs and Cumbrae. Be mindful – if you stay on Cumbrae the ferry stops running around 9pm.. \nOnce we are at Largs we can also explore the Isle of Cumbrae –  why not take the 15 minute ferry to the Isle of Cumbrae. The pretty island is a great place plus it’s home to the Crocodile Rock and the ‘Cathedral of the Isles’; the smallest cathedral in Scotland. We have previously dived one of the Piers in Cumbrae which boast plenty of marine life. \n  \n \nThe Isle of Cumbrae\, also known as Great Cumbrae\, lies on the Ayrshire coast and is roughly four miles long and two miles wide. Just a short ferry trip from Largs\, Cumbrae is regarded as Scotland’s most accessible island.\n \n \nSeaside town\nThe only settlement is Millport\, a seaside town with a Victorian promenade which curves around an attractive hilly bay on the south coast. Stunning wreck\, upright and intact.Plastered in life….props etc. 37m TO SEABED\, BUT stands upright quite high.So definitely Sport Diver level.Preferable confident and diving regularly Sport Divers with Alternative supply if avail.Must be confident with rib diving and exposed sites. 6 divers max OR 6 and a dedicated cox.(dedicated cox allows divers to get in water together\, without waiting for a team to return before committing another pair-we have a narrow slack water window.) “dedicated cox” goes free. \nLaunching ; Options\, BULL BAY\, ABC POWER MARINE\, or even my site.I have dived these wrecks from all launch sites \ncosts.  ALL costs\, fuel\, launch etc shared by divers. \njust shout for any additional info. \ngeneral info. You will see i have put 2 trips on\, Kincorth and Cartagena. The neap tides are good for these wrecks.You are welcome to book both days if you like.We have previously done this and left the rib in storage overnight at ABC Powermarine.I will consider this option as time and availability dictates \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:I try and do this dive every year.A stunning wreck of an old trawler.Hit a mine during the war..Broken up\, very pretty\, covered in life.A fantastic dive.I usually try a couple of ways to do this dive as it is very exposed\, and subject to a narrow slack water window….hence low water neaps. so\, 6 divers\, OR 6 divers and “dedicated” cox.(A dedicated cox allows the divers to get straight in the water\, and not wait for a buddy team to return before the next go in.(my trips\, a dedicated cox goes free).Due to the factors with this dive\, i would like Sport divers that are diving frequently and comfortable on ribs and exposed sites.Alternative supply is also preferable. \nLAUNCH- we have various options….what seems to work well is ABC Power Marine at Beaumaris-all by tractor and good facilities.However\, also been from Bull Bay and also from my site to this wreck. \nADDITIONAL INFO   Give me a bell for any other info Also\, please state if you would like to be dedicated cox. SUMMARY:**Postponed Oban Dive Trip due to Boat Refurb**
DESCRIPTION:This trip is with our club RIB and is open to all diver grades\, max of 6 places will be available. \nAccommodation will likely be a 3 bed lodge which will accommodate as one group\, I am just waiting to hear back from the owner\, it’s just outside of Oban near Puffin divers. The rib will be launched at Puffin divers and kept in the water for the duration of the stay\, refills are available at Puffin divers along with any other diving necessities that you may require during your stay. \nThe estimated cost with be around £250-£300 per diver\, this will include\, Boat use\, fuel\, travel to and from Oban\, accommodation\, breakfast and dinner. \nThe only extra costs will be evening meal\, alcohol  and cylinder refills. \nYou will possibly only need to take 1-1.5 days holiday as Thursday and Friday are bank holidays. \nThe Dive Manager (DM) will be Nick Worthington. \nMike Rickard has approved the dive Trip\, the Dive Manager and boat use via a completed RIB booking form. \nDATES: WEDNESDAY 1ST JUNE – MONDAY 6TH JUNE 2022

DESCRIPTION:So here’s a little plan….or 2…!!\n\n\nRight …Puffin Island is the little island near the top of the Menai Straits…..the one you look at on your way to Anglesey n say….that looks a mint place to dive.\n\n\nWell here’s a chance….the above dates are neap tides\, and Amelia has requested to dive Puffin Island….so them dates are good….So\, here’s the conundrum…I’m offering both sat n Sunday out depending on numbers…Here’s why\, and my thoughts….\n\n\n\nThe rib will need to collected from storage very early sat\, or I may even go down the night before and get it….We will be launching from ABC Marine which we used earlier this year for some deeper dives….they have good facilities\, changing rooms\, shower\, shop etc….launch/ recovery is by tractor…cost around £35/40.(split with fuel between everyone on board)…\n\n\nBoat fee £10.00 per person per day\nFuel for the day split between divers.\n\novernight storage / Launch / recover fees split by the divers\nDiver coxwain contributes / Dedicated coxwain no charge.\n\nSo\, I’m thinking….we get the boat\, we dive one crew on the sat\, pit it in boat yard storage\, and a second crew\, if enough people interested can go out Sunday……it can then go back to our storage place.\n\nLevel Wise….MUST be qualified and confident Ocean Diver.\n\nI will manage qualifications\, and buddy pairs etc. Although it is called Puffin Island\, its full of seals…. .I will create 2 x events on website\, one for saturday and one for Sunday….if your interested\, book on the relevant one….I need to plan coxwain/ boat handlers etc.im also suggesting 6 divers max per trip or 1 x dedicated ( non diving cox) and 6 ..\nMore details to follow…..

DESCRIPTION:Nick has booked out the rib over the weekend..(.the 29th at this stage is only loosely in…that may be a shore dive.)..However\, the main day the 30th is a good forecast and they are hoping to take out the rib. Only a couple of places\, a good chance to get on the rib\, see how it works\, what we do\, have a go….Diving from the rib will be open to any level and tailored on experience. Get in touch for either day\, or def book via the website if you want to dive from the rib on the Sunday.(If Saturday forecast improves\, we may well launch Saturday too) Some people camp\, however\, remember its pretty easy to “Drive n Dive”!! also known as a Day Dash
