SUMMARY:Discovery and Ocean Diver open water training day
DESCRIPTION:We are holding an Ocean Diver open water training session. \nLocation: Capernwray Dive Centre. (Jackdaw Quarry) \nRequirements: \nYou will need to have completed a Medical form and handed it to our Branch Diving Officer. If you have not filed a medical it will result in your instructor not allowing you to dive on the day. \nYou will need a Current BSAC membership. \nYou will also need to join the Capernwray dive centre. There is now a fee of £30 fee for a 2-year membership\, you will need to register online and choose the 2-year diving option\, In addition to this\, Capernwray will charge £16.00 each time you visit\, (Prepay coming soon) this fee can be paid cask at the gate and pays for parking\, and the use of facilities (W.C\, showers\, café facilities\, and use of the actual quarry). you can bring a packed lunch and drinks. Air fills are also available for £5.00 per fill. \nYou will need your regular SCUBA gear and if you do not own a DRY SUIT\, you will either need to purchase or borrow one or you can hire them from either Capernwray Dive Centre or Bolton Area Divers. You will also need to Consider borrowing / Hiring a Hood\, some gloves & Sea Fins.                                   We suggest you speak to members of the club or the Equipment Officer but you will need to telephone either of these places below no less than 1 week before making arrangements to hire your Drysuit. \nBolton Area Divers 01204 394441 www.boltonareadivers.co.uk (BAD will also ask for an authorising email from the branch DO before they will allow you to Hire a Drysuit) \nor \nCapernwray   01524 735132    www.dive-site.co.uk  If you are hiring from Caperwray we suggest you arrive at opening time or sooner to speed up the process of collecting your membership card\, then your dry suit\, and the extra weight you will need (although we normally have spare weights) \nIt is paramount that you book this event via the club website so that we know who is attending. \nOnly when you have booked this event on the branch website can we allocate an instructor to you. \nMembers of the current Training group will be given priority. \n
